Range and Charging
The Kia Sportage PHEV comes with a claimed electric range of 34 miles, making it suitable for short trips and daily commutes without using gasoline. Overall, Sportage PHEV offers an estimated total range of 430 miles when considering gasoline and electricity, which is quite impressive for its class.
While the Kia Sportage PHEV does not support DC fast charging, it features a 7.2-kW onboard charger that enables Level 2 charging at charge stations. Charging at a Level 2 station takes approximately two hours to fill the battery, providing a convenient option for quick top-ups. Charging overnight at home is also feasible. However, relying solely on public chargers might be less convenient due to slower charging speeds.
